Meet Gwen Baquiran
I came to this country with a dream of being the best teacher and with a vision that every student has the opportunity to succeed and that every family feels seen, supported, and valued.
My husband, Ryan, has been my partner in every step of this journey. Together, we’ve raised our son, Gabriel, who is the heart of our home and a daily reminder of why this work matters so deeply. Like every parent, I want him to grow up in schools that inspire him, in classrooms that believe in him, and in a community that lifts him up.
Hollister became home because it is where I found purpose, belonging, and people who welcomed me in. As a mother, wife, and educator, I see firsthand how strong families and strong schools go hand in hand. That’s why I’m committed to building systems that reflect care, equity, and excellence for all of our children.
Today, I stand ready to give back to the community that raised me. My vision is grounded in services, built on hard work, and focused on helping every child thrive.
